Week of May 18th at a Glance
Yorkshire Elementary School misses all you! Continue to visit with your teachers and classmates during Zoom meetings. And be sure and try some of our optional learning activities that are posted on the weekly Choice Boards.

And in the news for next week: Monday May 25th is Memorial Day. It is a day to honor and remember the brave men and women who died while serving in the United States military.

It's going to be an amazing week filled with sunshine. Last week, Ms. Marshall and I made an amazing video! And it stars her dog Hazel. You can watch Hazel as she ventures out looking for living and non living things.

I'm so happy that you are visiting my class page again! Yorkshire will be starting another virtual Spirit Week starting next week. I'm so excited for all the fun that will be taking place. Language Arts Reflective Questions for Establishing Home Literacy Routines

If you find that your child has completed the optional choice boards, or even if you are looking for some other activities for you child to do,  feel free to use some of these reflective ideas.

Asking and Answering Questions About Text    
 What are some things you learned from this story? 
 What would you like to know more about? What parts of the story do you wonder about?

 Ways Students Can Respond to Reading in Writing
 Write/tell/draw and label parts you liked and did not like about story. 
 Retell the story orally or use pictures and words.
   


Week of April 13 2020 at a Glance
This week is our first week back from Spring Break. Kindergarten teachers are busy scheduling class meetings so that we can visit with all of our students. Here is a list of the class meetings that have been scheduled: Mrs. Nisbet April 16th 1:30pm; Mrs. Berry April 16th 2:00pm; Mrs. Hayes April  21st 11:30am.   Hope to see many of you at the virtual meetings.
