UPDATE: 04.14.20
*Additional information about yesterday's update

*THIS WEEK (04.13.20-04.17.20): Second grade teachers are working hard to develop a concept sequence for the rest of the school year, along with recording instructional videos and creating weekly choice boards. In the meantime, I have created a PRACTICE Choice Board for you to complete this week. I am hoping this will allow you time to get used to the look/feel, as well as ease back into reviewing more content. This practice choice board is located underneath of "Files and Documents".

UPDATE: 04.13.20

Hello families and welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed your spring break!
Starting April 20th, the Second Grade Team will be posting OPTIONAL learning review videos each day and choice boards each week (which you can find by clicking on “files” on the left side of the screen) with activities to go along with the review videos.

Finally, we will begin using Zoom to have weekly class meetings so that I can see my 2nd graders and check in on Fridays at 11:00am if students are available to join. I will be posting more information about how to join our meeting later in the week. The first meeting will be on Friday, April 24th. *This will be optional as well.*

As of right now, this will be what the Home Learning Weekly Schedule will look like (beginning April 20th):

Monday - Counseling / Encore
Tuesday - Math
Wednesday - Language Arts
Thursday - Science
Friday - Social Studies
*Class Zoom Meeting every Friday from 11 to 11:30am starting April 24th*

Again, I understand that online learning is new and challenging for everyone. Please remember that all of these tasks and activities are optional for students to complete. I am also available to answer any questions and concerns so feel free to reach out by email or on Class Dojo. You can contact me at any point, but I will have a “virtual” office hour which will be everyday between 11am-12pm that I will be online during for class meetings, check-ins, and to answer any questions about review material or choice board activities posted.

Happy Monday!
Miss Hicks
